Whether backstage at London Fashion Week, tending to a roll call of celebrities at Cannes Film Festival or working on editorials for a host of Irish and UK titles, Paul’s skill is in high demand. Greatly regarded for their creativity, fundamental to the salons success is education. It was something imbued in Paul for ten-plus years spent with Toni & Guy, where he held positions on the International Artistic Team and educated up and down the country and overseas. Since launching Davey Davey in 2010 it has seen him travel for Editorial and Session work to London, New York, and throughout Europe, which has a loud him to work with international fashion publications such as Strut, Noise, Cosmopolitan, Elle, and seen him do shows for London Fashion Weeks, working with creative designers Top Shop Unique, Maria Grochvogal, John Rocha, Paul Costello, Phillip Tracy, Joanne Hynes, Basso & Brook. Paul has worked back stage at Music festivals working with Mumford and Son, Ellie Golding, Kate Nash, Miles Kane, Robbie Williams Band, La Roux, Kesha, Jamelia. Paul has also looked after Martin Scorsse and entourage in the Cannes Film festivals. I'm pleased to announce that I'll be working every Monday in our new concept salon DaveyDavey Mens, the Gentlemens Salon, which is located on Stephens Street Lower, Dublin 2. Ian started his hairdressing many years ago. After successfully completing his hairdressing training in college, he went onto work in a well renowned hair salon in the city of Liverpool for a number of years, but then an opportunity arouse to work with the well renowned hairdresser Charles Worthington in London, and he took this career move in his strade. This gave him the opportunity to work on London Fashion Week, and TV AM amongst others. During his time with Charles Worthington, Ian worked doing inspirational seminars at Salon international. Ian & his brother Paul owned a Toni & Guy franchise on Dame St for 10 years. They left to open their much anticipated 'DaveyDavey' salon. They have appeared on programmes, such as RTE’s “Off the Rails” and on TV3, and have also attended the Cannes Film Festival looking after Martin Scorsese. In June of 2011, Ian reached the Grand Final of the coverted "L'oreal Mens Colour Trophy" and came Runners up at his first attempt, his inspiration for the look come from the Kooples clothing Brand. In June of 2012, Ian again reached the Grand Final of the coverted "L'oreal Mens Colour Trophy" and came Runners Up in the competition, his inspiration for this look came from the 1950's era, with a Rockabilly Style. In October of 2012, the DaveyDavey Salon is pleased to announce that we won "Website of the Year" at the Schwarzkopf Business Awards, which was held at the Mansion House. Head ColoristHead Colour Specialist Stephen is available for appointments in the DaveyDavey Salon from Tuesday to Saturday. Head Technicial Director, and colour specialist with many years of experience and has a vast colour knowledge classically trained colourist has spent years mastering the art of colouring hair. Completed L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree, which caters to the clients individual needs, he pays explicit attention to detail and maintains the hairs intergrity and health specialist in French Highlighting Technique Balayage. Which includes celebrity favourite ombre achieves flawless, groomed natural looks Stephen prides himself in providing his clients with an individual attention and world class attention to detail. Stephen is a Great Lengths Extension Specialist. And having a great foundation and knowledge in colour has given him an upper hand in correct colour placement when doing hair extensions. He recently became a member of the Elite L'Oreal Colour ID Artist team, which runs for two years. Stephen started his career in hairdressing 8 years ago with Toni&Guy. His flair & passion for colour gained him a position as head technician in Toni&Guy and he went on to complete the prestigious L'oreal Colour Specialist Degree. In 2007, along with Paul Davey, Stephen reached the final of the L'oreal Colour Trophy. Stephen has worked with many celebrities including Girls Aloud, Brenda Gleeson, Delores O Riordan & Erin Brockovich. He joined 'DaveyDavey' as our expert Colour Director on 5th November 2010. In June 2011 along with Ian Davey, Stephen reached the final of the Men's L'oreal Colour Trophy Award, and they were Runner's Up in the competition. In 2011 Stephen completed a Balayage Specialist Course with the L'oréal Academy. Balayage is a technique used to colour hair, a technique that has gained popularity due to it's long list of celebrity advocates including Drew Barrymore, Lauren Conrad. Giselle & Elle Macpherson. He also completed a course with celeb stylist & colourist Adam Reid in May, which involved cutting edge colouring & cutting trends.Stephen worked backstage at Oxegen 2011 & had the pleasure of styling Kesha for her performance as well as styling many other artists. In June 2012, Stephen entered the coverted "L'oreal Colour Trophy Awards", and came Runners Up in the Mens catorgory for the second year running. The inspariation came from the 1950's era.
Creative StylistClaudia works from 9am to 6pm on Monday, Thursday & Friday 10am to 7pm, Saturday 9 to 6pm Creative Stylist: Claudia Walsh is well experieneced Hairdresser as she started in the industry in early 2000 working with a well renowned hairdressing salon in Dublin City Centre, she's qualified in all aspects of hairdressing and her talent & skill set have taken her all over the World doing the job she loves. Since joining the team Claudia has excelled in salon and she's become our newest member to specialise in doing the Great Lenghts Hair Extensions, and she's building a great reputation in doing them. During her time in the industry she has built up a wealth of knowledge in which took her to work photo shoots for various magazines. When Claudia worked as a Senior Stylist in Sydney Australia in 2010 worked on fashion shows for brands such as Aldo & Westfield. Also worked on the Miss Universe Australia Pageant. Upon her return to Ireland in 2011 she worked as a Creative Stylist in a Dublin City Centre salon, and during her time there she completed several advanced cut & colour courses as well a completeing the L'Oeal Colour Expert Degree. She is also a leading consultant in the product brand of Nioxin which is for thinning hair/hair loss. Claudia is very passionate about the industry, and she prides herself on offering a full consultation to insure the best possiable service in cut , colour & styling as well as using her experience to advise clients on managability of hair styles, home care and maintenence of the look created.
Salon ManagerDonna, works between the two salons of DaveyDavey & DaveyDavey Mens which are both located in the Dublin city centre. Donna began her career in the hairdressing industry in 2005 as receptionist for Toni& Guy. She went on to win Toni&Guy 'Receptionist of the Year' in 2006 and then again in 2007. She quickly climbed the ranks within the salon becoming salon manager in 2007 & in 2013 & going on to win the prestigious 'Manager of the Year' Schwarzkopf award in that same year. Donna joined 'DaveyDavey' for their opening on 1st November 2010 as general manager & is delighted to be working with such a creative and inspiring team. Donna has just won the Reception/Front of House Award at the Prestigious Schwarzkopf Business Awards 2012 held at the Mansion House
