Stephen is available for appointments in the DaveyDavey Salon from Tuesday to Saturday.
Stephen is our Head Technical Director and colour specialist with many years of experience and has a vast colour knowledge. A classically trained colourist, he has spent years mastering the art of colouring hair.
He completed his L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree, which caters to the clients individual needs, and pays explicit attention to detail and maintains the hairs integrity and health specialist in French Highlighting Technique Balayage. Which includes celebrity favourite ombre achieves flawless, groomed natural looks Stephen prides himself in providing his clients with an individual attention and world class attention to detail.
Stephen is a Great Lengths Extension Specialist. His great foundation and knowledge in colour has given him an upper hand in correct colour placement when doing hair extensions.
He recently became a member of the Elite L'Oreal Colour ID Artist team, which runs for two years.
Stephen started his career in hairdressing 8 years ago with Toni&Guy. His flair & passion for colour gained him a position as head technician in Toni&Guy and he went on to complete the prestigious L'oreal Colour Specialist Degree.
In 2007, along with Paul Davey, Stephen reached the final of the L'oreal Colour Trophy. Stephen has worked with many celebrities including Girls Aloud, Brenda Gleeson, Delores O Riordan & Erin Brockovich.
He joined 'DaveyDavey' as our expert Colour Director on 5th November 2010.
In June 2011 along with Ian Davey, Stephen reached the final of the Men's L'oreal Colour Trophy Award, and they were Runner's Up in the competition.
In 2011 Stephen completed a Balayage Specialist Course with the L'oréal Academy. Balayage is a technique used to colour hair, a technique that has gained popularity due to it's long list of celebrity advocates including Drew Barrymore, Lauren Conrad. Giselle & Elle Macpherson.
He also completed a course with celeb stylist & colourist Adam Reid in May, which involved cutting edge colouring & cutting trends.Stephen worked backstage at Oxegen 2011 & had the pleasure of styling Kesha for her performance as well as styling many other artists.
In June 2012, Stephen entered the coverted "L'oreal Colour Trophy Awards", and came Runners Up in the Mens catorgory for the second year running. The inspariation came from the 1950's era.
